Independent Sector 2009 Annual Conference in partnership with the Council of Michigan Foundations
Save November 3-6 for the 2009 conference, taking place at the Marriott Renaissance Center in Detroit.
Taking a cue from the Temptations hit, “Get Ready,” the conference will focus on strengthening the nonprofit community's ability to respond to the economic conditions facing our organizations and our communities. The innovative programs Michigan's charities and foundations have developed to address a changing economy and society -- both on their own and in collaboration with government and business -- make Detroit a fitting location to discover how we can create meaningful and enduring solutions to our current challenges.
Please take a moment now to mark your calendar so you can join us on November 4-6 for the conference, and November 3-4 for the Public Policy Action Institute.
More information is available on the IS conference homepage.

Annual Conference -- Sustainable Impact: A Civic Return on Investment
Please save the date for the 56th Annual National Conference on Citizenship. Our nation is facing a time of great challenge, but strong public engagement could be the key to lifting us out of these tough times. Leaders of government, nonprofit and business sectors must commit to sustainable impact across the sector through a new lens of engagement —- one that recognizes, values, and upholds a civic return on investment.
The 2009 Annual Conference, "Sustainable Impact: A Civic Return on Investment," will challenge the ways ROI is evaluated by encouraging commitment to civic responsibility not only through dollars, but actions, collaborations, and economic decisions. Together, we will redefine investment, revitalize trust, and renew citizenship across America. Space is limited, so RSVP now. |
